Anyone here change their radiator support themselves?

I have an 06 SS SC that the previous owner bumped into someone that kinked the rad support mostly in the center area where the hood latch is. (probably from a hitch on a truck)

It's still functional but just not something you can really pop it out, the passenger headlight got squat enough that the rad support sheet metal behind it has a bend (obviously the light and mounting bracket didn't survive). Granted I could leave it and work with it, but if I knew of folks drilling out spot welds and putting in a new piece would be much nicer. The previous owner got off quite lucky, the rad, HE, and AC condenser survived unscathed with not a drop of fluid leaked.

Anyone on here replace it on their own? Did you reweld it back in or bolt it in? I know a shop would charge a fortune but otherwise the part I think can be had for a good price. I'm pretty handy with a wrench but welding isn't something I do - which might be what keeps me from doing this.

I couldn't find a post where it was documented step by step.

Thanks in advance. Cheers
