Axle seals leaking

I have a 2009 ss with 92ish thousand miles on it. Car has zzp tune with intercooler and exhaust as well as a twm short shifter. But none of that is important I noticed that my axel seals are leaking and wondered how bad that is? Both seals are leaking fyi. The car had a new flywheel put in it last week and trans fluid was topped off. I did however take a long road trip and do a couple pulls. I am going to put new seals on this week but wondered if I should Park the car till then

Possibly residual from them removing the axles to pull the trans for a clutch would be my guess. Or they are leaking lol Maybe clean off and check again......

Well any leak should be addressed quickly. If it was me I would hope in a back up until then....... Unless you have no backup vehicle. I Have seen many cars on my rack have leaky seals for quite some time it all depends on how bad they are leaking. If they are leaving a puddle on the floor or if it is just wet rand the seal area.

The leak is a fine mist. Also I have noticed people talking about cracking transmissons, I was wondering how and how common that is?

Depends on how bad they are leaking but you should be fine to drive it if youre replacing them soon.

Also I have noticed people mentioning cracking the transmission. I was wondering how common that is, and what the cause was?

only time ive seen a cracked trans is if the car is in an accident or if the case flexes and third gear breaks through in high load.

I had leaking seals on my IRL, they were just seeping very lightly and I replaced them when I replaced my axles.
The car had ~95k/155k kms when they started seeping.

Now much buddy mentioned that it could be a bearing. He said that his bearing were wonky on his civic which caused his seals to leak. I am new to the cobalts and I don't know what is common with the axles. Nor do I know the specifics on the set up

Highly doubtful the bearings are gone. Not a common issue at all. Best bet is to change the seals and go from there.
