Base Cobalts with SS Wing
When you say it like that, it could be used as a defense for every car in the ricers thread. They put on the park bench wing not because they think they are a race car, but because they liked how it looked. Or they stuck on the Autozone portholes not because they are trying to be a Buick, but because they liked how it looked.
true but the difference is people who generally get mad the lower blats have the wing are the same that have the wing themselves. you cant say it looks like **** on your car but nice on mine. also if people are getting the SS and base models confused then they are probably retarded... so why would you care what they think?
honestly speaking it cant look that bad being as the sedan has no ground effects on the rear bumper, i have a lowrise one thinking bout wingless but dnt want the holes in my trunk showing.

Just because someone has something on their car that they like doesn't mean they have to take it off just because YOU don't like it. It's their car, not yours so why should you care? What if you did something to your car and other people told you to take it off or that you're a "ricer" because they didn't like it. Would you care? Probably not. No reason to rag on other's cars just for your enjoyment. To each their own, man.
Its preference. Some like some don't. I got a base model and love it the way it is, I did interior mods and wheels, and few bolt ons, it was born a base model and thats how its gonna look until I get rid of it.

some want more flare
To each their own, I personally don't like the high rise because it "lifts" the back of the car and looks too high. If it's lowered and has wheels maybe it looks a bit better. But like most of you say, without the ground effects / ss bodykit still doesn't look right.
I'm converting my LS to look like a SS (minus the high wing & some interior parts like seats) I'll look nice, get 45mpg highway, all good. I don't care if the car is something it's not, as long as it looks good to me that's all that matters, because it's MY car.
What about people that drive BMW's 328 or 335 and put the M-package on it? They don't have M3's, but their cars look way better. What about Audi's that have the S-package on it? What makes you guys think the Cobalts are any different. If a base want's the SS kit on it then let it be. So much hate in this board towards LS/LT owners even SS/NA owners. Chances are most SS owners are 16 year old spoiled kids that got their car as a birthday present. Yeah most, not all.
Stop the hate brahs. We are all Cobalts. And the spoilers is old news everyone around here drives '96 hondas with 3 ft tall fast and furious spoilers. Who cares.

Which is what probably 50% of the cobalt owners do. I have it done but just rally stripes on the passenger side. Mines a wingless, lowered, sedan base and I'm perfectly fine with how it looks. There's just so much hate going on about other peoples rides. You don't have to drive it so why do you all care.

Having gone from an LS with a wing to an SS with a wing, I must say if I pull up to someone with the wing on I have to give them the what for. You little kids need to know your LS/LT place.

Yeah, I guess I can't have a high rise spoiler anymore or I'm considered rice. Even though a lot of people are jealous of the carbon fiber high rise. Might as well get rid of it so I can fit in and be kewl.
I'll take it off your hands.. sure I have an LS sedan but haters gonna hate.. lol
Everyone talks about embracing base cobalts as they are, when SS owners can't even embrace their car without trading their trunk for wingless or low rise. Let's be clear here, we all like adapting the car to our taste, let everyone feel comfortable with what they drive, rice or not. After all, it's not even your car.
When you're in a car community respect is a valuable quality. Cobalts are all about fighting LSJ vs LNF, SS's against LS/LT/SSNA.. just chill brahs. Let's hate on other makes/cars, not ourselves.
No offense to anyone, CSS.net has helped me a lot ever since I got the balt and I appreciate y'all in this community <3 no homer
