Blend door actuator replace

Has anyone replaced the HVAC main blend door actuator on 2008 Cobalt SS 2-door?
After the glove box is removed, cabin air filter, should the passenger air bag be de-activated and removed?
Is this a dirty job, meaning very difficult?

They say you have to remove the dash but if you have smaller arms you can reach up through the passenger foot well area and replace it. I have a brand new blend door if you need one.

Thank you for the offer of actuator.
I'm not 100% positive my condition is blend door actuator.
If the A/C system is low on Freon, would low Freon cause the blend door not to function properly?

I do not think that has any effect on the blend door. If it is the blend door it will make a clicking noise when switching between different modes. Check out youtube for some videos.

This is why I'm confused on this repair.
The actuator is not making clicking noise, and the A/C/vent system has been bullet proof from early 2008. If the actuator is not making clicking sound what is the problem?.
The Cobalt SS has been like old Buick (Can't kill it)

I am not sure you ever listed what your problem was. Your first post talks about replacing the blend door but not what your actual issue is.

This is my problem on 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt 2DR SS
When turning the temperature control to cool receive warm or hot air. I'm unable to bring in outside air or blend warm/cool air into the vehicle. Also A/C air is blocked but compressor is working.

The heater vent and air conditioning blend door servo/actuator has not been changed.
Never experienced clicking sound from this servo.
I'm I missing something else that could be an easier fix?
Do not have problem disengaging air bags and disassembling IP trim if I really need too.
