The bolt broke off

So, about two weeks ago I noticed my drivers door started creaking. Well, up until now I ignored it, since I was busy at work. Well, I got off early today and decided to fix the door. And the bolt broke off. Yes, the bolt broke-the-****-off.

Here's what I mean...

What the hell? I gave it a slight twist and the ******* nut fell off. Just thought I'd bitch a little, since I can't call up the service department and tell them 'til tomorrow, since they're closed.
I really don't know what is up with this. I've had my car in once already for creaking and rattles, that of which they didn't fix, but found something else totally different.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not bitching at anyone. My faith in my dealership and GM is still strong, but I wonder how the hell that happened. I got my car in December and it has less than 1200 miles on it.

Repairing that will require the removal of the interior door panel. Just leave it alone and bring it in under warranty.

Don't tell them you attempted to fix it your self. Tell them you came out to get in it one morning before going to work and you noticed the bolt laying there.

Sadly, I know. I almost hit myself in the head when I did it.

Why did I try to fix it? I don't know. Normally, I don't ever touch things like this for this exact reason! Even if they did find out that I tried to fix it, the bolt still broke. It's one defective part, but still kind of dangerous. Hopefully that's the only weak bolt.

I'll think up some lie that doesn't sound too farfetched. Something along the lines of what RedEcotecSS said. It's obvious if you look at it that it was twisted off. I'm not that strong, lol!
