Not too sure...If you didn't do anything to it, I wouldn't see why they would have too much of a problem replacing it. You may want to look aftermarket though, cause our factory boost gauge isn't too accurate when it is working right. lol

if it randomly stopped working its probably covered, but if you smashed it with a hammer then you're on your own lol

well you could go in and see if they'll cover it and the worst thing that could happen is they won't. Then you can buy a nicer aftermarket one

OR buy a nice stock one yourself..?

Are you 100% sure the problem is in the guage itself? If so I'd insist the dealer replace it, there's no way you can break that **** on your own - sans hammer.

It should be covered under warranty if you just stopped working properly. If not, check out the Autometer gauges.

Boost gage woes...

The dealerships WILL cover the gage if it is a result of normal wear or the factory's common foul up. The routing of the wiring harness caused trouble for a large number of gages out there, it would just cut out to 0 and not read. This isn't what your problem is but it may have a similar solution. Def check with the maintenance dept at your dealer.

most likely...cars pullin harder than before, plus when i floor it boost goes up to 10psi and when i let go of gas it stays at 10psi for about 2 seconds and goes down back to vaccume...all late and stuff

i aint payin 50 bux for a stock gauge..ill go an mechanical autometer

you COULD have a vaccume leak. If the guage is actually working then it should be ok. Last time I checked boost guages just worked off of reading the vaccume so if you had a small knick in a line somewhere, your manifold's cracked, bad intake gasket, etc. it would cause the guage to read off.

I'm assuming the stock boost guage actually reads off the vaccume and isn't electrical, but either way if you had a vaccume leak there'd be a problem with it.
