boost solenoid hookup
boost solenoid hookup
engines lights on with the code for a bypass boost solenoid, should be about as basic a swap as possible, only question is the 1 end of the solenoid currently in my car on bottom has nothing hooked to it, no vacuum line or anything, on my new solenoid that same bottom piece has like a grey foam piece covering the bottom outlet. I know pics would be so much easier to describe what im trying to say, but....is there to be a vacuum line into the lower hookup??
The LSJ boost bypass solenoid I am familiar with has a port on the front and back side. The back side should connect to the intake manifold. The front side, which should be the same side as the foam filter, should connect to the lower port of the bypass actuator on the supercharger.
Ok not to sound stupid but the foam is actually a "filter" that stays put, again I wasn't sure since the one I have on now has no filter, probably long gone....thanx for the knowledge
Yes, when the solenoid is energize the back port is blocked and the front port is routed to atmosphere through the foam breather filter.
