boredom question

so my car went from a totally stock lsj to 60lb injectors, 2.8 pulley, and all the cooling mods, and header/downpipe. im waiting for a friend to come over with his hptuners and tune my car.

i havent started my car since september and just out of curiousity (im not going to do it) think it would even remotely start up without a tune?

im just happy i can sit in the car and listen to xm radio again haha. anyone else have this urge to turn there car over even though they know it wont run?!

Few things....
It SHOULD start without a tune. I have 42# injectors, 2.85" pully and mine ran without a tune well enough to drive.

My main concern would be lubrication, on startup, and corrosion inside the engine.
Engine sitting for long time + Not running it = Problems when running.
Or did you preserve the engine?

ive had a plenty of mid 50s muscle cars, that i havent ran for a year or so, and they start up just fine. i think 6 months honestly wont kill it as long as your not revving the **** out of it on first start up.

interesting. maybe i will start it just to hear her run :p

BUt mid 50s was also back when americans had pride in their work.
Stuff made these days is just thrown together as cheeply as possible by people
who want to get paid $98076 an hour to sit on the asses, and dont care about
the product or anything.

Yet modern motors are built with tons more precision and no where near the level of outdated 50's motors. You can have the all pride you want, but old motors cannot be compared to new motors and how well there made.
