Buy or Lease?

Hey guys,

I might be getting myself a Cobalt in a year (maybe waiting until the redesign) anyways I'm doing alot of research into my options. First of is the old Buy or Lease debate. Now I know the difference between the two, I just want to be looking at saving the most money. I really like the fact that my monthly payments will be lower but will I be losing money on the deal if I buy out at the end? I' am quite sure I will be keeping the car for a long time. Leasing sucks also cause you have to make sure the car is mint or else you get screwed at the end.

It depends on if you want a lower payment or not. When I got my Envoy I leased it cause the payment was $200 less. The interest rate on the lease was 1.6%. I bought it out in the end. It'll cost a bit more but only cause the interest. I am paying on the buy out.6.5%
But worth it to me cause the $550 payment is more affordable.
Ciao,C

Buy it. It's yours to mod as you wish and drive it however much you want. Your payments will be higher, but at least you won't have to worry about paying that sum at the end of a lease if you decide to keep it. The option to sell/trade-in will always be available too.

BUY!!!

With a lease, you can't mod it, they get to tell you how many miles you can put on it. YOU are responsible for expendable items, like wipers, brakes, etc anyway.

A lease may have a lower payment, but you don't get to keep it!

Ya I know the whole lease u don't get to keep deal, Ive got a bit for a down payment but I'm thinking of buying for the whole freedom aspect of it. I will not be modding car but I do want to keep it and save us much money as possible in the overall ownership of the car.
