To Buy? or not to Buy

Hey guys i'm pretty new here have been reading a lot about modding cobalts and such, And i was sure i wanted to get an 2007 cobalt ss/sc....I can get this car for about 17- 18 grand brand new and was wandering for the price is this an actual good car compared to many around the same price. I see theres lots of problems and this basically replaces the old cavaliers. I dont have Lots of money to spend fixing repairs so i want to know if its reliable obviously if i mod it its gonna break. I'm addicted to domestic muscles cars and this is the fastest i can get for around the price range. So with all the problems that i seam to read about you guys think its worth it for 18 grand..And if so you think it will last 100k+ miles without needing repairs?

My other choices are a chevy 1500 v8 stick or a ford fusion with a 4cylinder

Oh anyone know if theres to much traffic in denton texas to want a stick or Is a stick worth it anyways?

Yes, buy the car. Any issues you have will be warranty covered. I have had no mechanical concerns with mine at all.
Next the Cavalier was discontinued and the is not basically a Cavailer replacement. This is a completely redesigned car and much better done than the Cavalier. I also had a Cavy and that car was 145,000 miles and still running when I gave it away.

K thanks, Now hopefully my subs dont make it fall apart like the car i got now

i know its a answered question i've read alot, but i cant get over the dealer at the lot was telling me about the waranty and said pretty much the only way i can keep my warranty is if i let GM install all my parts, also he said that if i were to do everything myself then my car would probably be a piece of crap and falling apart just because i dont have world class technicians that did it. Is this just a way for them to make more money or is it really better to pay the extra few grand to have them install everything?

dont listen to your dealer, there all *******'s. you can install any part you want and keep your warrenty. the dealer has to prove that your part was the problem. say you put new rims on and your tranny broke. they cant void your warrenty because they say your new rims broke your tranny. rims dont break trannys...also if your dealer dosent like your mods find a new dealer.
