Bye Bye Balt!

I went to the dealership today to look at trucks, like I do every week, and I found one I love. I went in and talked to the sales guy and as long as everything goes through I will be back into a silverado by tomorrow evening. I sold a lifted 99 Z71 to get the slowbalt and it just isn't cutting it anymore! The truck I am looking at getting is a 2004 ext. cab Z71, charcoal in color and in mint condition. It has just over 20,000 miles and the price is right where I want it! It's been fun but I have to say I am glad to be getting my a$$ off the ground again!

Sorry to see you defect as many before you have, but if trucks are where your heart is a Cobalt will never do.

seems the turnover ratio for people buying cobalts is 5:1. That's just my observation. I plan on keeping my balts well after I pay them off. Why not? I got a sedan and an SS. I've only got 3 years left and don't feel like paying payments forever. :P

Good luck on the truck and also good luck on the $60-70 gas fillups in that thing and 15 or less mpg.

my dad's 1990 Silverado with the 5.7 costs $75 and he is lucky if he can drive 250 - 300 miles to a tank. Motor is so tired at 275,xxx miles. $85 would get old quickly... i'm tired of paying $30 + for a god damn 4 cylinder.. when I bought the SS it cost me $23 to fill it which was reasonable when gas was like $1.85. Now it sucks...

Yeah that is why I bought the Cobalt. My truck gets about 15 mpg and my wifes Yukon gets 14 on the interstate with the 22's. So the Cobalt has been a welcome change in how much I spend for gas.

The gas is the only downfall for me, but I am more than willing to pay an extra $100 or so on gas in a month to have the vehicle I want!

Sucks to see another Cobalt owner jump ship.

Ha ha. My Dad's old Suburban had a 42 gal. tank on it. It was over $80 to top that sucker off even at $2.00 a gal.

Trade it. They are giving me a decent amount of money for it so I am sending it off as is (with the 19's on it).

Well sorry to hear your loosing the balt but as long as you're happy, you're good to go. You should still hang around .net either way!

My 02 Silverado had a 34 gallon gas tank. Regular gas shot up to $3.26 once and I had NO gas. ! cost me $110 to fill.

I am glad I was able to keep my Jeep when I got the Cobalt. I just cannot see my self ever not owning a Jeep. So I can understand you looking foward to being off the ground. Glad to see you are going back to the ride you truly love. Sorry to see you selling the Cobalt.

I loved my jeep it was so hard to see it go but filling up 3 times a week was getting old... I still miss it.
