A/C Not Standard Equipment in Canada?

From what I have read, in the USA air conditioning comes standard on all models of the Cobalt. In one Canadian online review it said A/C was standard in all models (including the base), while in another Canadian review it said it was in all but the base model.
GMCanada's web site seems to show it as an optional extra.
Anyone know what the truth is?

Thanks

On the base cobalt coupe and sedan air conditioning IS an option which costs $1150.00 Canadian, plus the air conditioning excise tax of $100.00 Canadian. If you opt. for any other cobalt coupe/sedan besides the base, then air conditioning becomes standard equipment.

I hope this has cleared up any unanswered questions
