Can the Aeroforce overload the OBD2 bus?
I recall reading somewhere that if you use two (maybe more) Aeroforce Interceptor gauges, that you can overload the OBD2 bus. Is this the case for the Cobalt edition? I read somewhere that the Cobalt edition doesn't use the bus power.
I'm asking for two reasons ->
1) Can you leave two Interceptors hooked up and use a Tech2 at the same time without frying your system?
OR
2) Can you use two Interceptors, as well as another 'on-the-fly' OBD2 data aquisition device?
I know... i'm going a bit nuts on the data aquisition here...
I'm just worried that three devices on the same bus would overload it.
Opinions?
Thanks guys....

I dont think it would but i wouldnt over do it by any means. the dlc is very delicate and expensive. plus, they might wanna know why your having to replace it, aka, void your warrenty.

Well, i don't think that the Aeroforce gauges or the data logger would be a warranty voider... but either way it's better safe than sorry...
Anyone know if those gauges do draw power? Or how does the OBD splitter for the Interceptor work?
I noticed after my first post that Areoforce offers a 'triple package'. Anyone know what this package includes (besides the three gauges)?

I didnt say it would. just implying that it would be an obvious cause if you drew too much from the power source and screwed up the dlc or even worse, the computer. any chev dealership would see the splice (or guages if you were dumb enough to leave them in) and auto void the warrenty claim...dont ever push your luck when it comes to warrenty.

^ good point...
I talked to a tech at work here... he said the big problem i may face is overloading the bus with too much data transfer... according to him it won't screw anything up, just make the gauges act slow
He also advised me on disconnecting the gauges when using a tech2, as it operates at a specific data rate, which will cause the scanner to have problems...
I guess i'm down to my final question... are the Cobalt style Interceptor gauges externally powered, or bus powered?
