ive had the power steering done. something with the charge piping. and i got a letter for the ignition that if theres a problem you can get it done under warranty till january 2012 or 13 i think.

You have an open recall for the ignition lock cylinder. According to your vehicle history the power steering recall and the charge inlet pipe recalls have been closed.

They already replaced your power steering motor, that's why it shows closed status. Other than that there haven't been any warranty repairs related to the steering system.
Are you wondering if someone messed something up? There are some other repairs here that could have effected something if that's the case.

There are multiple service bulletins about clunking, no recalls though. I'm not saying your friend is right or wrong, but there isn't really a 100% way to tell the difference between the new ones and old ones. Some are JTEKT, some are DENSO, and as far as appearance the new ones are identical to the old ones. If there is a paint dot at the bottom of the motor that usually means it has been replaced. No promises though. All I can say for certain is that according to GM Warranty History, it has been completed.
