I keep hearing the 2800 lbs number, i can't see it happening but this is one situation where i really hope i'm wrong. 2800lbs is not that much. I also like the consistent 3's and high trap speeds. someone scan it and get it up here.

I have heard repeatedly a 2808Lb Curb weight, thanks to the aluminum a-arms and stuff, glad to hear it saves 125 lbs over the Red Line (RL guys are not to happy they are repeatedly feeling like beta testers, lol)
NO GM I know you are probably reading this sooooo......BUILD THE DAMN THINGS!!!
Banshee!!! Any updates!
also notice, looks like the Red car was a preproduction car, the badges are in the old positions....

NOTE: it says car & driver estimates on the performance section. The didn't even run it through the tests themselves. What a bunch of bums i hate it when mags do this. And this ads even more confusion about the weight, this one says 2900lbs not 2800... the redline 2931lbs... that number keeps getting bigger damn it.

what is it with C&D and lower than average times?? they say 14.7, MT says 14.5.
they say the 2005 mustang GT does 13.7, MT says 13.5
they both say my car does 15.9-16.1(5spd), when I've never seen one pass at worse than 15.8....... idiots.

Reading that article again, I see that they were given an LSD equipped Cobalt SS to review. That might be why there are no solid numbers... It could make Chevy look bad to allow publications to post numbers on cars that are equipped with a performance option on which there are no solid details yet. Could make them look like they are trying to overrate their product.

[QUOTE=Blk01GTP]Estimated 1/4th times SUCK.

Yeah they really do. Those look like GM's estimated times.
Good news is they gave it a good review.
Better news is that MT actually tested it, and got better numbers, 14.5 quarter at 98.2 and 6.0 to 60. And they discuss a 2800 pound weight. That's what I like to hear!
