Car wont start
Morning im new here so not sure if this is the right place to post this!
I have a 2007 cobalt SS that i have not driven for about 5months. So yesterday i went out and tried to unlock my doors with the keyfob and noticed nothing was going on. I figured the car battery is dead so i charged the car battery up. Then tried the keyfob and still not working weird. Then i used my key to unlock my door and the alarm went off. I jumped in and put the key in the ignition saw all the lights in the dash go on. But noticed my radio did not start (weird). So i figured i would start the car and nothing happened.
Now my question is. What could be wrong with my car?
- dead battery ( the engine lights would not go on no?)
- i know the cobalt Ss has 2 battery's how can i tell witch might be dead.
Help me out please before i get the car towed to the dealer

They only have 1 battery, unless a previous owner installed a second battery.
It could be a starter, clutch position switch, or the security lock out. Try push starting it and if you get it going drive around for a good 30minutes

Yah the battery was fully charged. I did try to boost it with a other car. Dont think push start is a option im in my parking in a hill. Cant move it out.
I was thinking it might be the security lock out. How can i bypass this. Does security lockout stop the keyfob from working?

grab a new battery first and try to start the car, make sure the battery connections are clean and tight.
all the lights on the dash usually means you got no battery.
you may also have a bad alternator and or starter.

Because you cant use the keyfob your car is still in security mode and your radio wont turn on until you get rid of it. Yeah make sure you battery has a 12.6 volts and try again
Did they change this security mode you speak of? I have had it happen many times where I lock with the fob but I can't unlock with the fob so the alarm goes off, but I have no trouble starting the car (mine's an '09). The immobilizer chip is in the key...

Yeah even if you alarm goes off you can start the car but the stereo goes into i guess what you can call theft mode and it wont turn on until you can actually use you fob again
