Is it necessary to do this if i throw in a used pcm with a stage 2 on it???

I have a stage 2 pieced together and just need a tune. if i get a zzp pcm do i need to get a crank case relearn or is it just plug in play? Thanks

 

You need the case learn. A dealer can do it, and it can usually be done through HPTuners too.

 

Can someone explain how this works?

I have the option on my DashHawk and was wondering if it just reset the computer or what?

 

It's pretty simple. You just tell the dashhawk you're doing the case relearn. Turn the engine on.....let it idle for a sec. Bring the rpms up to 4000 gradually, then you will feel the engine all of a sudden want to rev.....immediately let off the gas and let the rpms go to idle. That should work and the check engine light should go out.

 

hmmm interesting....i need to get a dashhawk now or since i was one of the first to get tuned by vince from trifecta...have him clear this out.....but not worried about it right now since my car is still down. but i should be up and running sometime after oct 3rd
