Driving home today from the carwash I noticed my CEL was on. I checked my gas cap, and I have all my fluids. I have a feeling its the MAF censor. I put some holes in the airbox but kept the stock filter.

What really sucks is that I have to drive 250 miles tomorrow back to school. My school is in the middle of no where with no Chevy dealers in the area.

I'm taking it in tomorrow morning as early as I can to get the code read.

I have about 8,800 miles on it right now.

I think I was cursing for a good 10 mins.

 

I think I made up some new words when mine came on the same day I had to go get the tint looked at to get it re-done. A few of them slipped while I was talking to the service guy but they pulled it into the waiting area immediately (this was at closing) and diagnosed the problem. It was fixed the next day . The joys of service kissing your ass because they screwed up the handover .

Anyways, hope it's no big deal...seems the CEL can mean almost anything. Mine threw some environmental warning and it turned out to be a faulty gas cap. So essentially I think my car farted if I understood correctly !

lol, I hope it's something simple too. The car drives fine so I'm pretty sure it's nothing too serious. Most likely something with the emissions.

 

I have heard cars fart before! Seriously, they'd be driving along and i'd hear a creak or "pffffttt" come from the exhaust! Beano must've been in the gasoline. Right now I am farting up a storm from Enchilladas and queso at a Tex Mex place. Anyone have some air freshner?

 

Was the light on and stayed on? Or did it blink at you? Because if it stayed on its nothing serious at all. Blinking = pull over and call a tow truck

 

It stayed on, I read in the manual that it means it's an emissions problem.

It may not be something that hinders the car's driveability, but it still bugs the hell out of me seeing that light on lol.

I brought it to the dealer this morning and I'm awaiting the phone call from them.

SNORKEL CLAMP. TIGHTENED AND RECHECKED - OK NOW
