Looks like a small private dealer. Usually non GM dealers sometimes lowball the cars quite a bit.

yeah...no huge mark-up. they prolly picked it up at an auction dirt cheap...

i bought my ss/tc a month or so back and i thought i got a great deal...11k mi, $16,900...and it sat on the lot for over a month. i saw it everyday on my drive home...started doin the research and figured out it was a GREAT deal for a really rare and well maintained car (**BOOSTED4DR** was the original owner)

They're not low ballin'. I got mine from carmax for 16,995 only 7k miles. Carmax is known for theyre higher prices so, I think its just about right for the one in the OP.

Got my 2009 SS sedan new off the lot (75mi) for $17,500 turnkey May 15th of this year.

Not bragging but...well ok, bragging a little. Helps when you don't NEED the car, and can twist the sales guy around a few times by just walking away.

jbg333, you got sport red tintcoat? I think I got victory red tintcoat...closer to blood than candy. I wish they wouldn't give their colors retarded names, and would have just said RED, or CRIMSON, or DARK RED.

Mine is the darker red. I too wish they could make it more simple. Sport isn't exactly the best adjective to describe red IMO, but whatever. I think its the best color they make IMHO. -edit- Made.

My buddy has the victory red and it's the more "classic" looking red.

It was a mix of things...

I had just fixed my credit, and was making plenty enough money to afford the car...

I didn't need the car - been on a motorcycle for four years now...

2009 sedan on a lot with 2010s, and the commercials now say they need to make room for 2011s...they needed to move it.

I had a bad experience with a spot delivery scam in January of this year with a competing dealer, so this new place had the opportunity to get a HUGELY loyal customer...

The SS from January was a 2010 coupe, and I was getting it for $19849 (found it on their website)...

Turns out the dealership has worked with my company on a number of custom builds for events and such, so they were motivated to do right by me...

No bank would buy the loan, and they didn't want to lose the sale - when Wells Fargo said they'd buy the loan, but with a max monthly payment of $350, and told the dealership they didn't care how it got to that number, just do it...the dealer ate another $2500 or so just to put it to bed...

Take all that, put it together, and I got a crazy price. My interest rate sucks ass, but I can refi that in a month or two.

No down payment, no trade. Helps that I'm a bit older too I think.

What can I say? The sun shines even on a dog's ass some days.

jbg333 - chevy site shows victory red as the darker red (not by much though)...
If your's is the same color as mine in my intro thread on this page, then I think we have victory red.

I think.

What are you talking about? Carmax goes strictly by market value/KBB.

Car is gone...

It either sold or it was a fraudulent listing.

Hey, saw your sig - how is that intake treating ya? How hard was it to tune for?

Any regrets, or is it everything and a bag of chips?

I actually bought the car with the intake already on. I am still on the stock tune. It does strange things on cold starts, but other than that its been pretty good. Power is there, and it sounds very nice since you can really hear the turbo spool up when you get on the throttle.
