Checked my mpg for the first time today ...
After filling my tank and then refilling with about a 1/4 tank left.
23.2mpg
Not bad, seeing how 80% of my driving is city miles.
The car's computer was a little optimistic, saying I was getting a 'lil over 26mpg.

I've never checked if the car's computer is accurate. I can get about 31.5 mpg (according to the DIC) on the highway. On my way to work at back, which is a bit of a city/highway mix, I got about 28 mpg stock. Now I get either 18 mpg or 25 mpg, depending if I want to have fun or get good gas mileage. I got 24 mpg in stop and go traffic taking it easy on the car (with my current mods). I need to work on gas mileage in my tune :-/.
Haha yeah I get about 26 and the bulk of my driving is stop and go 40mph driving. It is annoying and of course I love the fast 0 to 60 in my car so I punch it every now and then and then ease off down to 40. I only use Shell gas though, I noticed my MPG went up when I started only using one gas station.
Iwas coming home from my new job which is about 50 miles away and i have a pic on my cell phone holding a consistant 40.8 mpg! i make 44 for a 200 mile ride to car lisle pennsylvania its on camera to
How's that truckbed back there?
That's WAY cool for me.
I remember the first car I bought back in the 1977, a '69 Mustang Mach 1 with a 390 engine/automatic transmission.
I got around 9-10 mpg city with that car ... and it was not any faster than my SS/SC (maybe even a 'lil slower).
Technology has come a LONG way since those cars were built!
