clutch

i have a question, or if someone knows this is true, is our stock clutch holding us back on how much power we get wit bolt ons and stage kits? my friend got 2.8 pulley 60lbs , belt ,spark plugs and hp tuned (by a very well know guy that does good work) and he got 266whp than he just decided to change his clutch because he did not like it and installed a spec clutch and went to the same dyno and got 278whp, i dont understand.......... and weather was around the same

A slight change in atmospheric pressure could change that.

Also if he did have an aluminum flywheel installed with the clutch, 10 HP is a good increase to see with an aluminum flywheel.

If anyone is interested in SPEC items, PM us we will get you a good price.

I have heard that it won't change your dyno results, but not certain. It gives more gains in the lower gears I know that.

Unless his stock clutch was slipping, and now with the new one it holds the power, so it is showing the true HP that the engine is making.

I know mine was slipping! I got that SPEC stg3+ from you guys and now its awesome! Even with the stock flywheel!

Now I need to dyno it again!

Weather can make a big difference too! If it was warmer and dryer on the first day it would give somewhat lower numbers.
