There are a number of folks on this forum that are running the SPEC clutches and I haven't heard anything about this before! Maybe a new slave design?

I am pretty sure they told me it was an OEM part.

I don't believe I will stick around for the 8hours + it takes them to do the labor. However, my car is being towed up there as it's not drivable at all.

Since I have the Spec Clutch for the SS/SC, and I am using OEM parts I think it should be ok.

I wish I had known about SMG about 2weeks ago, could have saved me a useless trip to the stealership.

red.4SS i am not sure how you could buy a complete factory bled system, the clutch reservoir is in the brake master cylinder, and the slave has a q-d male post in the the trans housing...this whole thing doesnt look good on the spec 1-2-3 folks imho keep me in the loop when u get it fixed i will be interested much with what you find.

That is what I was thinking too? How the heck could you possibly have that, when you have to attach it to the brake fluid reservior?

Well, some possible good news. My clutch has gone two days without any changes in pedal height or any softness. *crossing fingers*

Well, I dropped off my balt at SMG this morning. The shop seems pretty cool too, so all that's left is for them to put in teh new clutch, Stg2 and GMPP Exhaust.

I'm kinda wondering if there would be any benefits of a custom tune ontop of Stg2 flash if your just tuning for 2.9" pulley with stg2 injectors. But not sure if I would have moneys left after this work

DEF get a custom tune and not the stage 2 tune from teh dealership. Fred does great work with his tunes.

I will check with him then, I think I might as well do it since my car is already down there. I thought about going for 60# injectors and custom tune, but tbh if I did that I should also get a smaller pulley and better cooling mods. So many mods, not enough money!

dana, the kid you met has 2.8 and 60's and got 242 232 without cooling mods. I'd go with what you got and get a tune for it. see what she pulls. get some meth and tune again you'd be surprised with the power. Also a full exhaust and intake with that setup would really open her up...

but HEY this is about my CLUTCH

I am holding off on the new tune because of a lack of $$$ (clutch labor is expensive). Maybe after I get my $600 tax incentive!

But anywais, how is your clutch holding up now? Hopefully when mine gets installed it will work w/o any problems.

Mine pretty much sucks! The hydraulic system is somehow slowly leaking in air! I had to bleed it again today to correnct a softening peadal feel.

Even when the pedal is 99% of normal, I still have difficulties shifting quickly through the gears. The 1-2 shift is the worst though!

I am about ready to start over again!

My clutch is installed, and per Fred at SMG it's good to go. I get to drive it tomorrow with my Stg2 install and GMPP exhaust. I almost can't wait, but kinda get the feeling it's gonna feel totally different from when it was stock.

I hope its different!

About 50 more HP! haha

The nice thing about the SPEC clutches is they feel almost stock.
Mine grabs harder, but the pedal feels light. Pretty much as it did with the stock clutch.

I just hope you don't have the hydraulic issues that we are having.

Picked up car this morning with new clutch. Wow huge difference over stock, grabs and does not want to let go.

So far, I've only driven it to work and went relatively easy on it..But with the new exhaust, stg2 w/Nate's 2.9" pulley, GMPP Exhaust and brand new Spec Stage 2+ clutch, I am getting alot of car jerking in 1st gear, and somewhat through 2nd if im not careful .

I need a driver mod...
