Cobalt 1SS and 2SS

According to GM, the two SS’s are called 1SS and 2SS
http://www.gm.com/redtag.do?brandId=bp&cmp=bp_com

I think it would be easier if we start calling them that instead of 2.4L SS and SS s/c

Agreed, I was confused when looking for a car, I even emailed a few dealers and mentioned the 1ss adn 2ss and they where like "WTF" I had to break it down for them, and at the time it appeared I knew more about the car then they did, low and behold I went with a different dealer.

I would just say SS and S/C. It's less likely to get confused.

Technical the Ss S/C should be 1SS because it was out first and it performs better...or finishes first.

How about just calling them: 2.0 and 2.4....simple as that.

Good point. I was so mad when I found out they were adding a N/A SS to the line up. Only because I now have to specify that mine is the S/C when people ask, then they look at me funny because I get "so descriptive".

They should have called the 2.4 one a Rally Sport (RS), just like the old days...

Not to belittle the 2.4 they have potential but they are not SS status when stock

They definitely should have put it down as a different trim... like z24.

Kind of like how they did the camaro SS and RS.... You wouldn't see any v6 Camaro SS's

What about the Pontiac pursuit? whats up with that? I drive a 2.4 and I do agree, the 2.4 should have been called something else! I've had people ask me "is that thing sc'ed"? I can never understand why auto makers put out a very simalar car in almost every aspect to another car they build!! If I may add one more thing, the 2.4 hauls hamster ass compared to other 4 bangers I've driven! I love shifting above 5000rpm now and I think the car does too? GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
