Does anyone know where I can find buyer statistics for the Cobalts? Such as Gender, Age? I ve searched google and cant come up with anything. Thanks in advance.

Nope. in general. more women buy cobalts than men. I just looked at a bunch of statistics today about it. but I don't know if they are released to the public or just in house GM stuff.

 

If you want a real chick car for comparison, get the newer Eclipse-- total chick car. It'll make the 'balt look beastly.

 

I see women driving the coupes and sedans more than the SS/SC I see mostly men driving those...

 

I know a girl who owns and daily drives a 600+ whp mustang mach 1. So dont feel bad when you see a girl driving a car like yours!

damn right, who cares...most guys think it's hott. But chicks are getting into cars more and more, I see a lot of girls cruizin in cobalt, but I've only seen a couple chicks in SS/SC's.

id say about 5%. More than that, our racing reputation would go down the drain. Except for that chick that can run 9s, shes cool. Most just buy it for the looks.

Call your dealer. They will have that breakdown (age, income, sex) of potential buyers from GM. FWIW, the rule of thumb is if you double the price of the car, that will equal the average income of the buyers.

 

i think more guys have an ss/sc than girls, just get one, they are the best car for this price range in my opinion. can beat a porsche boxter out of the box hah. and with stage 2 its faster than cars costing 10 grand more

 

The SS/SC is definitely not a chick car. I am getting a little frustrated with the amount of Cobalts I'm seeing around these days, tho. Man, I miss being the only one w/ one of these cars!

 

But the Mitsu Eclipse is definitely more of a chick car, even w/ its 260 ponies!

 

I have a cobalt ls, thats not the issue here, I jsut wanted top prove to my wife that the cobalt is bought by more men then women, but it seems as though I wont be able to.

 

The majority of people who own a stock Cobalt on this forum are men if that counts. So what if women own a Cobalt. Hey, I'd rather ride around in a nice looking, swift, and comfortable car than a beat up car that looks like a box. There is only 1 chick car out there and thats the VW beetle.
