Was this a friggen Joke?

I ordered a AEM CAI for my 2.0 S/C on Tuesday, today I receive an e-mail from them (after I've already paid for the intake fully) saying that I need to pay for international shipping since I am in Canada. Check this out:

"In order to ship outside the Continental
United States additional shipping charges will need to be applied.
Please find our shipping rates below:

$125.00 UPS World Wide Expedited

We appreciate your business."

Are they bloody kidding me? $125.00 is the ONLY shipping option? Talk about screwing me over, the part was $177!

You guys had any success getting these parts into Canada?

Thanks,
Ryan

I used to work for UPS and if their shipping from the united states UPS has an option which is called canada express I believe and its only like 30dlls max. I suggest you call 1800 PICK UPS and ask them how much it would be.

I'd be asking for a refund. UPS will also charge you a ridiculous brokerage fee in addition to customs fees.

To make a long story short, if they won't use the post office to ship to Canada, find someone that will.

Got friends or family in the States? Send it there and then have them us USPS to send it to you.

Id ask them why they shipped it if full payment was not received and tell them you refuse to pay for something that you already payed for...

I'd ship it to someone in the US and have them ship it to you via USPS Canadian Priority. This should be about $20 USD.

Yeah that is CRAZY!!! We ship USPS Express Mail for ONLY $40 and it is 3-5 business day delivery to your door, as long as the intake is in stock.

Plus UPS and Fed Ex charge crazy duties above those shipping charges!

If you ship it USPS, does it bypass the GST and PST? Or do UPS and FedEx charge money in addition to those?

Thanks guys, I will be cancelling this order from AutoAnything.com and going with TurboTech, expect a very excited order soon, lol. I might even go with the Injen intake instead...

THanks for the advice,
Ryan
