I hope not... It would probably cost as much as the SS/SC.

I was hoping someone would put up a thread like this! I hope they would. Nice job, BTW. I'm not that proficient in MSpaint, so that looks nice.

I really think Chevy should do one... such as introduce it for early spring 2007 or something

In my opinion the best idea would be something like the following (see quicky photoshopped image below):

remove the 2 rear seats and use that space for the storage of the top (and some amount of behind front seat storage, and the rear speakers), could enable a slightly larger trunk lid (slightly larger trunk opening too) as well, and trunk capacity could potentially be the same as current models. (could even still have optional sub in the trunk)

Maybe have two engine options: the 2.2 and the 2.4

Market it toward the female audience that is looking for a 'cute convertible' and isn't worried about top-notch performance, and would like the easier trunk access for their luggage for going on weekend trips etc.

essentially base the convertible on the current coupe... also remember just adding a sunroof ads a bundle to the price already.... so a convertible could be relatively reasonable price all things considered.

I think it would have to have rear seats to get any consideration. But i think its fugly no mater how many seats it has. If i wanted a two seat convertible id go for the saturn sky.

To tell you the truth they might make one but very limited. It won't look bad or anything.

There's those and the Pontiac G6 convertible (which may or may not see the light of day, if recent Automotive News reports are to be believed). There won't be any sort of Cobalt convertible any time in the forseeable future, you can bet the proverbial agriculture endeavor on it.
