Cool...

anyone know how much the G6 weighs? It has a 3.5L motor with over 200 hp!!

Also, why in the world does the G65 not have a SC'd version?

The G6 GTP is definately a sweet ride. I test drove one before I bought the SS/SC... really comfortable seats, a good amount of power, and an available 6-speed or shiftronic automatic. They're quick too.

The only thing that turned me away from getting the G6 GTP was the lack of aftermarket support. There's like one intake available... no exhausts... no headers... maybe one lip-kit. That's it. I would have gotten one otherwise b/c it's definately a nicer car quality wise than the SS/SC is.

Why you sneaky little...
You know damn well the G5 GT has the 2.4l ecotec VVT engine in it, Mike. you'r just wanting more people to buy the pontiac instead of Chevy.

I know that. I have the 2.4l Cobalt.
It sounded like you were subtlely steering him towards the G5 purchase.

Because Chevy designed the SS S/C and I don't think they wanted Pontiac to have any of their baby. But yeah, I don't get it either - Pontiac is supposed to be the "speedy" division.......

The G5 dosen't come supercharged b/c Chevy already has dibs on all the LSJs produced... they're all going into SS/SCs. Now someone with the right connections could maybe... maybe order one. It'd have to be one of those corportate office production things... but I'd wager it could be done.

Apparently the G6 GTP is a fun car to drive because I saw some guy driving like a total a-hole in one on the weekend. Yeah it made me mad getting cut off by him, but at the same time you could tell he was enjoying the car so much. lol

the G5 isnt staying around i think by 2010 there should be a rwd one. but when chevy does the cobalt over i think thats why the G5 will look difforent from the cobalt. and the G6 is a fun car the GTP is quick. we have the malibu maxx same thing as the G6 but we got the 3.5 201hp and that will move pretty nicely

When I test drove one, it didn't seem slow to me, but the engine does rev higher than most at low throttle and the 3.91 diff certaintly helps. Its no rocket, but would be a good grocery getter.
