Cobalt goes bye, bye
i have my 09 T/C for about 1 year and 4 months, no problem so far except the power steering recall which it has been fixed. and i still love the car. matter in fact, just order TTR motor mount today.
Plan to keep it a LONG time...
Abuse ..you lose..it's your call.
EVERY CAR IS JUNK. Any car/truck/bike/lawnmower/anything with moving parts, requires maintenance and upkeep. you go out acting like a jackass all the time and dont care to change plugs like needed or keep up with fluids or hell just going out and being a jackass will land ur car in the dumps. Nothing is built to be dawg hard constantly. just because u got a supercharger or turbo or whatever doesnt mean ur engine is invincible b.c it came factory made. And i gaurentee almost everyone here with car problems is in one of these categories.
1. drives like a jackass
2. doesnt maintain there car.
3. been "modding"
now dont get me wrong.. im in 2 of those.. ive "modded" my car and ive given it hell. But i also baby it and constantly check compresson change plugs.. u name it.

20k miles later and the motor is breaking? WTF are you talking about? Did you get a bad tune and blame that on the car or something? Sorry but there are plenty of people who are doing just fine doing more on a stock motor none the less.
I've put a lil more than 20 on my car, and I don't say **** it, I <3 it every time I hear it roll over.
If something breaks **** it you pay to play if you don't want to then go buy a ******* 2011 hyundai rio and granny that **** with a warranty and a box of tampons to go with it, bunch of little girls lmaooo.
If you don't think any car is prone to breaking when modded you are a fool.

so... "LIKE"
Haha ikr. I get sick of people bashing because in most cases something they did lead to something ******* up and they whine bc the car should take any abuse!
There's a reason I keep a spare bank acct that I add to every month.
The minute you mod a car from stock or the minute you continuously beat it is the minute that you throw your right to bitch about it breaking out the window, sorry.
Just to let the op know, you're attempting to move from a car, that when it breaks, is a pretty cheap fix, to a car that is going to cost you 5x's as much as a cobalt would to fix. Just sayin.
If you wanted to switch up cars no worry whatever floats your boat, but don't call the old a piece of **** when it's clearly not. You get what you pay for. You got one of the best powerplants, with a mediocore ex/interior, should've been able to tell that the day you drove it off the lot.

I personally love my cobalt, althought I only came from a ford focus and a tiburon, but I loved the tiburon too haha, you guys are making this seem like an srt-4 forum
Though I wouldn't get another SS/SC, but I'd be more then excited for a SS/TC

I'm thinking a lot of people like me got rid of their Cobalt because they got tired of all the **** and break downs and the cheapness of it being a entry level eco box, and once the novilty of owning it wore out, one has come to conclusion it's time to say

IDK what you guys are talking bout. Had my 'Balt for a year and a half now, 25K later, and still love it. Just gotta fix the tranny(prolly just a roll pin) and wish it was faster. Other than that, LOVE IT! lol
When I was first car shopping I could care less. Then one day someone thought I had a Cobalt, did some research, found some mods, went crazy. I just consider my car a curse because something's always going wrong with it. Most of the time it's just cosmetic though. Like in the same 2 weeks someone scratched up my trunk, then my back bumper got hit in a parking lot, then my front bumper got scraped. I love it to death though. Despite its cursed nature.
My house has a toyota, nissan, bmw, and my economy chevy. So far Im winning the maintenance race (nothing yet, i do need rotors soon) and I floor this car 4 times a drive. I know no one else in my family does that.
things break. Everyone says "ill never buy a ___ again"

i maintain my cars to the t, i bet i had one of the nicest ones on this site. regardless of the fact who's is better.... there are many negatives to this car. If you feel like continuing on the fact of your car is the best car ever made... make a thread about it if not move along

My car runs mint and is in mint condition. Its quick. Gets good gas. Mileage. But if someone had cash tomorrow. I'd sell and get a mint 6.0. Gto and magneson supercharged setup

What negatives? I already stated them, mediocre ex and interior. Clearly saw this when you bought a 20k econo box with some power though. Can't expect it to be a lambo............

.
I've had my car for two years (granted its my first car), and i love it. And its not because its my first car but as other people have said it gets good gas mileage and i give my car hell all of the time. But for me however i dont need it to be really fast
because i am fortunate enough to be able to drive mine and my dads Shelby GT.
What was wrong with the cobalt? I've been noticing a trend here on CSS.net, eveyone seems to be selling their cobalts and when they do they say, "Never again will I do a cobalt" or "Good Riddens" or something with a "I hated my cobalt" tone.
A guy going to Nissan, you going to BMW or Subaru, and another going to a truck.
Did I walk into a mine field when I bought this car 3 months ago?

The ones who DO like their cobalts, don't sell them and keep them.

Meh. As long as you do your research before you buy a car and test a few out you shouldn't end up disappointed when you buy it. Know what you're buying before you pull the trigger is all.
When I bought my redline I wanted a car that was good on gas with a little pep to it, I'm running a few tasty mods and she's fast but I realize that it's not the fastest thing on the road, but from a roll she will turn a head or 2... I always tell people if u can beat my daily driver I'll go get the real race car (68 camaro fully build with 300 shot)
but I do plan to buy a 2011 sti sedan but still gonna daily drive my redline
