What negatives? I already stated them, mediocre ex and interior. Clearly saw this when you bought a 20k econo box with some power though. Can't expect it to be a lambo.............
Tvs does work.

I would have to say that your statement is plausable. I make my own as well.. For the people that say and believe as you do probably will not be happy in life. You KNEW what your were getting. I totally knew what I was buying. That's why I bought it. LoLs... Honestly, you sacrafice "total" interior and exterior looks for an amazing drive train and still be able to afford regular life. LOL.. thats one main reason the cobalt was built. The engine is JUST now getting into the aftermarket. Granted it's been short lived in this platform, but future enthusiasts are going to bring this car to hights people would not believe. I can't wait to see what is going to be the "Next Best Thing" and have a slightly modded or totally stock SS/TC or an engine designed from it be just as comparable to the "Next Best". The new 5.0 GT??? Some people are getting into the 12's, but most mags are getting 13.2 in the 1/4. That's it?? Stage I is getting that as the LEAST! lol.. and still getting 30+ MPG!

i guess we will have to agree to disagree on that, but i like modding my cars not leaving them stock which is why i'd never buy a bmw that they are expensive to fix and overpriced.
Do you plan on modding the m3? why not a 2010 s4? they get 80hp from just a tune

ive had my car since nov. 08 and i love it. it makes me warm inside when i beat ppl with better cars then me, and in general you get plenty of looks because the ss models are kinda hard to find.
since i started modding with the sc i had 0 problems and now im turbo swap'd i still have 0 problems and i beat on it almost every day. i bought it with 19k and its at 52k running strong. i for one dont regret the day i bought it.
wait! the only problem i had was i broke an axle at the track......but thats my fault.

Hope you enjoy whatever car you purchase next. I still enjoy my T/C with over 27,000 miles on it. It's still a fun, peppy car. That is, when I have it and it's not in the body shop. They've had it twice this summer, and still have it.

First I'm happy for you that you like your car, but saying the SS model is hard to find, I don't about where you live but in my territory there a dime a dozen, I see them every where, and it's always some young kid behind the wheel peddle to the metal flying down the road.

I am positive the ss tc is the ideal compromise vs price on the market.

nothing electro-mechanical is ever 100% in life, anywhere. >>>>Physics, man!

for a 2 liter (120 CID) car considering the price and factory stock rated components,
u cant touch it.

(cob ss-sc & ss-t/c was validated by gm perf div. at the 'ring [nurburgring]
FEW Mfgrs do anything like that -it's cost prohibited.
you will not see any cruize being fettled like that!!
especially with the "P.H.D." obamunisum/barry saturo motors now)

If you apply good fluid maintenence and breakin proceedure, the ss-t/c way better than a 1.4 cruzzee or a barbruh boxer/nancy pelosi' prius.
this is where it's goin' : to stupid LO-PO, cookie cutter, idiotic-borefest micro cars.

everything is relative.

I have owned many cars and this ss-t/c is better than my e36 m3 LTW, my e92 m3- which is quite a boat--HEAVY! & no torque. whereas the ss-t/c it amazingly tossable in road racing and its only 20k $ if you get it wrong out of an apex......

bimers have their quality probs and recalls too!! its all relative.

Agreed! However, at the same time, Im going to try and save it if possible. Im upgrading next year and IF i can avoid trading it in, I will. It it goes, well, there wont be another.

Not a day goes by that I don't wish I had gotten a Terminator. I have a LT tho.
It's cool tho. I had some fun and now I've come to my senses. No more will be spent on this car.
Time for a new 5.0
I'm done with 4cyl and done with FWD.
Took me 30k to get tired of mine.

Nice.

I wanted to do this so many times, but I bought the car new and it just doesn't make sense financially to take such a hit. So I'm keeping it until it hits 150,000 miles or 18 years of use (like my old Z24), whichever comes first.

Pretty rare around my area too . I see more Zo6's than i do SS/SC's or TC's. I still haven't seen a SS/TC sedan on the road yet.

I've seen 10 or so TC Coupes and 3 or 4 TC Sedans. Lots of SCs.

skip on the bmw's with vannos and certainly skip all of the all wheel drive models. They always seem to have issues. And all the newer bmw's are huge. If you want a car that'll never die, go down south where cars dont rust and pick up an e30 bmw for a couple grand, drive it back here, rebuild the engine and the car'll be good for another 250k without major issues. E30's best BMW's ever. (an e30 with LS1 swap is just pure unadulterated sex, but not a daily unless you do it right). But if you need to get a newer bimmer look at the 135i's they're about the same size as the e30's (aka the perfect size), boosted, and hella fast.

That is true, but if you compare another car for the same price range the cobalt is **** built quality with things I can go on for days. Interior, Paint, fit and finish ect.... i can itemize each item if needed

Lmao. It's not a luxury car it's an econobox with some sport styling and some of the best powerplants under the hood....... This kinda ties in with the research what you're buying before you buy it.
