I am a new user, and have a question for all of you with the performance package on your Cobalts, or have had a chance to compare them to non-PP Cobalts. I just wonderd if the limited slip actuals makes a difference in the Cobalts. I am looking into buying a 06', and wonderd if it is actually worth the extra 1500. I really like your articles on here, and I know this aint quite the place for this question, but I like the information passed in this forum. Thanks.

 

It's worth it if you like to corner and have better launches. Don't forget, you're also getting much more supportive seats with the Recaros in that package.

 

Depends if your gonna take it to go autocrossing or your just in it for straight speed. If going for straight speed save the money and get stage 2 and intake and exhaust.

 

Not necessarily true. If you're doing straight line, you still want the lsd, it'll provide more grip for launches.

 

The LSD is not needed unless you are an auto crosser or doing some spirited cornering. If you are a drag racer your money would be better spent elsewhere. It will help you hook up marginally better of the line but a good drive can do the same. Also a stage 2 kit will prove more fruitful to your ETs then the LSD.
