Anybody catch the Modern Marvels episode about "Custom cars" that just aired? About 3/4ths the way through the show they had a Cobalt that the guy said was turbocharged and capable of holding 45 psi. Anybody ever heard of this car before? I'm thinking maybe the show's writers messed up or something.

Glad I saw this thread. It just started.

 

I posted this up a while ago. It looked like a pretty sweet setup. The car was definitely not for street use.

 

Probably talking about one of the drag Cobalts or the land speed record one.

 

I'll take some still frames of it when they show it. I love TV Tuner cards.

Here it is. It was customized by So-Cal speed shop for the Bonneville Salt Flats. On the steering wheel there is a little button that the driver can press to raise the boost level in increments of 5 PSI all the way up to 45 PSI.
