i know this has proly been asked before, but why didnt GM put the 2.4L in the SS models instead of the 2.0L, and second i think they shouldof made them AWD instead of FWD. just wondering why they went this way? thanks

because no one would have paid $30,000 for a freakin cobalt that was AWD. its an affordable sport compact, not an AWD powerhouse. if you want AWD buy a sti or evo

 

 

isnt it cus the 2.0L has stronger sidewalls than the 2.4... basically it can handle the induction from the supercharger better???

 

umm they did have the 2.4L badged as an SS model from 06 to 07. i have one
