Hello!!!!

Do you know what an Ariel Atom is??!

Lets build one!

I purchased a 2006 cobalt SS, superchared, with 111k on it. a few days ago, I made some videos of the progress so far. I finally got the enigine out!

My Challenge to all you awesome Cobalt SS folk is your input on the car build with the engine and tranny etc, from the SS.

what input do you want from us ??? You have the engine and trans from your donor car ....

We are all very aware of the aerial atom .... do you have an atom kit or something that your using ?

 

you can sell most of the rest of the car to finance the rest of the build, the front rear bumper side skirts lips interior should all sell pretty quick if your ok with parting them

Well a couple things would be awesome to start with...Does anyone have a pdf manual? For wiring diagrams and such.

I will need to rewire it once I pull the wiring today.

Also, does anyone want any parts?

I have a carbon fiber hood if anyone wants it. Lights, windows, etc.

also one thing your going to want to do is pick up a copy of hp-tuners and if you keep all the wiring data systems you can tune the engine and turn off codes for systems you wont need like the evap system and such im guessing you want to retain the gauge cluster so hp tuners is your friend as it will also allow you to adjust fuel level data for use with either a different fuel level sensor or lower capacity tank with the cobalt electronics the ac delete is also an hp-tuners thing

your going to have to take the fuse box apart, each wiring harness plugs into the bottom of it and can be disconnected without cutting. you just need to remove the bottom of the harness and unscrew the locking bolts

 

id take the trunk if its wingless lol

 

I wouldnt run rear brakes on the front, they have the ebrake mechanism built into the caliper. Maybe run two sets of fronts all around or get some ss/tc brembos for the front. Its not like youll be able to use the cobalt rear suspension for anything anyway

 

I see you're in the Denver area, if you're wanting to sell some stuff off of it hit up the 5280Cobalts page on fb. I actually may know someone who would want the carbon fiber hood.
