I'm in tough situation right now. I am buying a new car within the next month, and the options are too damn close to call. str-4/cobalt ss/sc/wrx damn these competing companies.
my question is; since there have been several sold already where the hell are the dyno and 1/4 mile times? I'm really interesting in the 60' time too.

I sure hope the Cobalt SS S/C will be avalible to purchase by august. The only issue I see is you are shopping for a model that is pretty popular, so far from what I have seen. If you are trying to get a popular model at the end of a model year (august is the end of a model year) you will probably have some trouble locating a car still for sale. When I got my Xtreme a few Augusts ago I had a heck of a time finding one a I wanted and are a much more plentify car than the Cobalt SS S/C is.
Will you have trouble getting a regular cobalt in August? I highly doubt it.
I think most of us are ready to jump on a Cobalt SS S/C either when they come into the dealers as retail allocations or you have pre ordered and are waiting for it to arrive. Going to have to be quick on the draw to get a 2005 SS S/C. I think GM will probably have things worked out a lot by 2006.

I agree with Zinner, you probably should see what your local dealership will allow you to do. You never know they may let you order one and test drive it and decide if you want it.

That's also the difference between a "Deposit" and a "Down Payment." If you back out, a "deposit" is non-refundable, a "down-payment" must be returned if there is no purchase.
Most dealers probably won't want to make a big fuss about it , but some will.
