Cobalt SS/SC Snow = No Prob
Last night I got a cell phone call around 12 midnight. My best friend was on the other line asking if I could drive out and give him some gas for his snow mobile. It turns out my beater car which my girl drove last ran out of gas when it was warming up! DAMN woman! I was so pissed off, there was no way I wanted to drive my ss/sc in the blizzard. My best friend and I have been friends since second grade and I know he would of fond a way to get me help. His snow mobile ran out of gas along some back roads. The sleet was comming down and under the snow was frozen water. It was one of the worst conditions I ever drove in. My car did awesome in the snow and ice. I could not even believe it. I did get stuck once going up a real steep hill because I had to make a real sharp turn onto that street and go slow so I would slide. Lucky for me me best friend was right on top of that hill and I got out easliy. Just thought I would share a story of the cobalt ss/sc in the snow on its stock perl. tires.
Actually, I don't think the Cobalt handles all too bad in the snow with the stockers, you just have to use common sense and keep in mind that you can't drive the same as if it were dry roads. I have no doubt that snow tires would make a world of a difference but still..
Well I thought I would share my story.......I hate snow and I really hate to drive my car in the snow. I was on my way to work on Tuesday and I got stuck for about 30 minutes. This guy in a sti pulled me out of it......go figure......I guess its time trade the cobalt in.
I personally think the car does well in the snow. There are other important factors such as wheels size, tires, and not to forget the driver.
Have fun and be safe out in the white stuff
