Cobalt SS/SC vs Rock?

Well to answer that question... Rock... did a 65mph pull with the rock... (all highway of course)

Rock walked all over my cobalt... Due to me loosing the race... rock won: Front Splitter, Front rim & wheel, side skirt, part of frame, and rear valance.

A rock... pretty sure his mod's included... hardened surface, crappy placement on 4 lane highway, ability to blend in with tarmac... and being effen HUGE.

Only once? Are you broken?

In other news, a female friend of mine with a victory red coupe LT hit something and put a hole in her oil pan that I could fit my fist in...

Which is a shame.

Because that's not where I want to put my fist.

Cooper zpt FTL. I had those tires...Ok for the money I suppose but if it isn't completely dry they are terrible. Only good thing I can say about them is how predictable they are..very easy to feel the road (ex.feeling at the moment the car is beginning to push through the turn). Sorry to hear about your car though, that's very unfortunate!

Sorry, had a busy weekend, just now getting back to checking my posts...

As for what really happened... driving down a major highway last Monday here in Colorado, following an SUV of some sort.... he swerved at the last minute... my eyes followed him for a split second, just to look back at the road at the last moment to see a Large football sized rock / piece of cement. I struck it going about 65mph... it took my front splitter, driver wheel & Rim, side skirt, and rear valance. Lucky I was able to maneuver to the shoulder with no further incident.

As for my flat spare... yea that was fun... I’ve only had my car about 6 months... and never checked to see what kind of condition my spare was in... low and behold... got the spare mounted on the side of the highway to find out it was completely flat. It had a nail in it.

A guy in a minivan hit the rock about 10 seconds after I did, and pulled off to the same shoulder... luckily he had a portable air compressor... we were able to get enough air in the spare to get it off the highway. I ended up having it towed to the body shop.

Insurance is handling everything... just have to pay my deducible. Just a bad time of year for it to happen... I've got a 3 year old and a wife... so we're pretty broke due to Christmas... so having to pull the deductable money out of nowhere has been interesting. Car should be completed by this Friday...

the rock is a stud man. you see what he did to stone cold a few years ago? all that wrestling and football left him in good shape. you shoulda known better.

this woulda been 10x funnier if you were from boulder. good to see youre ok. get an estimate yet? thats exactly how i hit a broken driveshaft and shredded a tire. was following a dude too closely, he swerved and i couldnt because of adjacent traffic and i took the hit.

Estimate - 2534

as for Boulder... meh, not a fan of overly liberal college towns.

HAHA, yea, but Denver is not a huge college town... I don't mind a littlebit of "liberness" here and there... but Boulder is in it's own leage.

As for the springs... it's FAR to conservative, even for me... and I lean towards the right.

Pikes Peak is a fun drive... been years since I've been up there though... I usually hit up Mt. Evans, as it's closer to me, and it's been paved to the summit since I can remember.

Something similar happened to me. A piece of a brake drum fell off an 18 wheeler and was sliding across the highway and I ran over it =(
