cobalt totalled?

so this is the second time my car has been hit.
last november this woman was coming off the highway and ventured into my lane spinning me out. 5.4 k in damage.
she messed up my rim, the rear quarter pannel entirely and part of my door. ended up having to get physical therapy for my lower back. im 20 btw. haha.

today i was driving with my gf to get some food.
we were at a red light and then all of a sudden were hit from behind.
i didn't realize what hat happened really just yet, and asked her if she was okay because she was balling and really upset. i looked back and driver wasn't there.
i looked to my right and he was a block away running.
so i got out of my car and started chasing him and yelling at him.
he was mexican, and looked like he was in his 30s. kinda heavy set and dark.
i caught up to him, and tackled him and pinned him down then other guys in the area came up too and held him down and i called the cops. they happened to be in the area and were literally there within a minute.
the guy was driving a 96 mustang that he told the cops hed just bought today. he was actually 16 had no license or insurance and the wheel off the front of his car came off.
after he hit my car it bounced off and hit another ford explorer.
the cops arrested him and called me a hero lmao.
heres the damage though. just got back from the hospital as my back really hurts. the doctor said ill need therapy.
here are the pics.

i hope it is. last time they fixed my door, rear quarter panel and fixed the side skirt on the drivers side. also had to repaint and match and put the pinstripe back. the rin was scratched so they replaced that. that was 5.4k.

this time theyll need to fix the rear quarter panel , replace an axle, wheel, and rear bumper. my door had an issue closing right too. felt weird.
i imagine itll cost a lot more this time, so i hope that they just total it since its been in two accidents. last time the ladies insurance covered the repairs thoughh. since this dude had none im guessing mine will.

Look at the top corner of your drivers door. If it's touching or rubbing the body now, your car has buckled in front of the rear wheels.... pretty good shot of a total if that's the case.

Just bc he has no insurance doesn't mean he'll come out clean...he will prob get fenoly leaving the scene of a accident...kid was 16 than he has a mammi and Pappi who are 100% responsible for his actions..so THEY will end up paying outta pocket....hate these kind of people...
