Code reader?

Just wondering if anyone had any input on a cheep code reader that i could you to read/clear codes? now that i have my injen as a cold air i have a CEL and i would like to clear it when it appears as it annoys me right now im looking at this one

hmm... somthing seems weird if it's 5 dollars... the one i got was like 110... does the same thing.... either this is a great deal, or something about it is fishy...

Autozone clears codes for free, but it is more convenient to have your own reader. Most legit ones will run $80+

i dont need some amazing machine that tells me everything Just something that shows me the code and the option to clear it :P

i need one also for my xtc downpipe. it goes and i reset the comp and it comes back

all its going to do is clear it then the car is going to notice a change again and it will just keep coming back. when they say it clears codes, it only does so if you fix the problem and the code is still there, it doesnt disable the code so it never comes back. It basically does the same thing as unplugging your ecu for a couple minutes or removing the negative side of the battery terminal for a min.

^...i know this, i dont have time to unplug my battery and empty my trunk to get it... i'd much rather jsut push a button and drive a week and do it again as it only comes on once a week. i reset it and then it wont come on for another week.

i'm not sure about that kind on ebay, but i got a Centech on sale for $40 from harbor freight. It works great for my intake which keeps throwing that stupid p0171 code at random times.
