Colbalt bolt ons

Customer came into my gargage yesterday for an oil change and check up. Asked me about adding some bolt on upgrades such as cold air intake and exhaust. He owns a 2008 chevy cobalt LT with the 2.2 Ecotech. Are there available upgrades to make more power for him and to have a deep exhaust noise. Ive told him a million times to just buy an SS but he refuses cause he likes the 4 door idea. thanks everyone

Tell him to look for an '09 SS then. They made them in 4 door too for only that year.

I dont think he can afford the 09' thou. Do u think theres anything else he can do bro. I noticed u replied on that lambo post. What ever happened with that? Was it legite.. If so, kinda thinnking over about getting a lambo next year or not. kinda scary if a turbocharged v4 could beat a supercar

LS1 swap will give him a nice exhaust tone.

It was legit. On page 15 of that thread I think it was, he's got the youtube video link posted.

I'm not familiar enough with the 2.2s to know. You can always do the basic "open it up and let it breathe" approach. I've got a friend who installed a supercharger on it and now it runs about as fast as the SS Supercharged.

Welcome to the intarwebz, sorry I hurt your feelings. And its CObalt not Colbolt. And Ecotec not Ecotech. You should head over to the SRT4 Forums if you want to see immaturity.

I seriously thought you had a turbocharged v-twin motorcycle engine in there when you said v4. Liar.

Check the supporting vendors' websites on here. There's plenty of aftermarket support for the 2.2L. He can do full bolt ons, or he can go FI on it. All depends on how much he's willing to spend.
