Cold air intake gets rain water and puts me in limp mode.

Every time it rains a decent amount and I drive my 2007 Cobalt SS Supercharged after a few miles I get put into limp mode for these codes. P2135 and P2138. I'm assuming it's because a little bit of water is getting through my air filter and into the Throttle Body? When it's dry-ish out it's totally fine no issues with it at all. Anyone have any recommendations? I don't have a K&N Drycharger wrap but how much would that help? Is this possibly a Throttle Body issue? I have a fender liner on it and I have cleaned the Throttle Body/Filter/MAF sensor. Thank you for any help.

Also I have HPTuners is this something I could maybe tune out? I don't think enough water to hurt the engine is getting into it, just splash up from the road.

Normally the water causes issues with the MAF, not the throttle body signal. The drycharger is a good idea to add to keep water from getting into the intake, and it might prevent this from happening.

The issue might be unrelated to the intake and could be caused by rain leaking into the cabin from the sunroof drains. Is your driver's side floor wet after it rains?

Then I'd get the drycharger and see if that fixes the issue.

Okay I just watched a video of someone literally hose down their air filter/dry charger while the car was running. So I guess they have to be decent at repelling water or that guy was just dumb. I'll buy one and update the thread when I install it. And here's the video of the guy it's pretty funny and short.
