Considering buying Cobalt SS

I currently have a 04 Grand Prix GT and was considering buying a new SS........What did you all pay for yours???? i say the sticker price 2 hours ago on one for 21,500 but where i work i get 5% above dealer cost.....what am i lookin at to spend? and has anyone had any engine/trans problems with em? or any general pros/cons on em???

That's a pretty good price as it is, add the incentives and it should be favorable IMO.

I had some engine trouble, but found out that the gas station I used was watering down their gas and my car threw a fit.

Other than that no major problems.

Go test drive one!

Thanks, i JUST bought the GP aug. 31st but its just not quick enough......plus i drive A LOT so i want the mileage......plus i know a lil bit about modding SC 3.8s so it shouldnt be TOO much diff with these....but if i can get it for a good deal.......its a NEW car and its a manual and not an automatic so that will be a longer lasting trans with the way i drive lol...........and its reallllly pretty i mean the 05 GXP in burnt orange is hot....but not 30,000 hot to me lol

LOL if oyu only knew how much that would run me........5k for the turbo setup installed w/ IC THEN after i blow the hell outta my trans from having the non-HD trans the GTPs have i would be out trans shopping then everything else would start to die on me lol......its not worth it......

I've got a friend with a GTP and he goes on about wanting to turbo his. I thought the GT's had the same transmission, I'll take your word however.

ps. Get a Cobalt SS. No problems with mine.

the GTPs have a 4T65E HD and the GTs have the 4T65E =/ plus i would have to do a bunch of supporting mods on it =/
