Considering Trading in the SS
Nice... like the GTO's... but I wouldn't dream of trading the SS/SC in on a V8. Gas is just too high... and it's only gonna get worse in the future.
I can only think of a handful of cars that have the power and handling to take on just about anything you see on the roads and still get 28 city and 35 hwy. These cars are a very rare breed... and I love it. Just as a pointed example... I recently made a trip to the NC outer banks... about 400 miles from Charlotte. Made it all the way there on 1 tank.
I can safely pull out infront of anyone I see... take turns at rediculous speeds... fly past slower traffic on the interstate without having to downshift... stop on a dime... and only have to fill up every other week.
Bottom line... life is good when you've got a LSJ.

I don't need to downshift at all... 70-80MPH is right in the power band in 5th... push the pedal in a bit... kick in about 5PSI of boost... and gain 5-10MPH very quickly. It's great for passing someone.
