Emailed GM to get an update. Cobalt SS still delayed with no set time for the completion of my Black SS. They are waiting for them to go through Quality Control again. Anyone have any idea when these cars are gonna be finished?

From what I understand not all of them are delayed. Maybe you should get your order number and try and get an actual status code to tell you what's really going on.

I've been in regular contact with both GM Canada and my dealership, and both have given me the same answer, my car goes into production next week and should have an ETA of mid-june

 

i was told id have my car by end of may begin of june

 

mine is being built on the 24th of may so i would expect about 3-4 weeks after build

 

I signed all the paperwork to order my car on April 9 and as of last week, the status was "Preferenced." Not sure exactly what that means. I'm guessing mid-June before I get it.

 

My car was preferenced March 17th, and was told on monday by my dealership my car is scheduled for production next week, and should have it by 2nd week of June, i'm so excited, I hope he's right

 

Followup: My dealer contacted me today. My car is built and was shipped from Lordstown on May 20th. It should arrive at the dealer within the next 10 days. Can't wait!

 

My dealership contacted me today, told me that in fact my car is scheduled for build week of 05/23/05, which would be this week, and he said he hopes to see it week of June 6th

 

Signed all the paperwork April 12TH..........3 days after FIRENZE. Mine was preferenced a few weeks after that. If he's getting his in 10 days I am really excited!!! That must mean mine could be here in two weeks!!!!!

 

Good luck. If I'm not mistaken though, you ordered an SS/SC but I just got an LS. That could affect how quickly yours is/was built.

How can you have signed all the paperwork and not have your car? The paperwork for the car usually arrives just a few days before the car arrives?

 

That's what i was kinda wondering too, I never signed any paperwork, only filled out a bill of sale because I put down a deposit on it.

 

Well, not all of the paperwork, just the inital ones. I'm sure there'll be a bunch more things to sign once I actually pick the car up. You know what I mean. Picky, picky!

ETA: Dealer called me today (May 25th). My car is here and at the dealership! I have to get the financial details settled and I'll pick it up on Monday. Can't wait!

Just as an update my car has been built so the dealer said 2-3 weeks and it will be at the dealership. Firenze said that his was shipped out from Lordstown May 20th and it arrived at his dealership on the 24th of May!!!!!! Now, I know that after it gets built, it has to go through quality control or something like that before it gets shipped but I think no less than 2 weeks and I'll be driving around a nice new shiney SS, Victory Red with sunroof, black on black interior!!!!
