CV axle seal

Hey guys, My CV axle seal is leaking on my passenger side. I need to know what the steps are and what tools I need to complete the job. I have a link of part numbers to help us out (see below)

http://parts.nalleygmc.com/images/pa...20GM04-676.JPG
I have all the basic tools, but my Chilton’s manual says I need a slide hammer (which I have) to take out the axle stud shaft (part 58 in the link). I am hesitant to start this job because once I get the axle stud shaft out how do I get the stud seal out (part 56?) and back in. It says do not use a hammer to put the new one in, so how do I do this and what tool do I need? I believe part# 52 is the cv axle seal itself. Does anybody have any pictures or can better explain this process to me?

Also, this is the OEM a/c Delco parts I have: Acdelco CV Joint Half Shaft 24203910 What is the silver seal? Is that part# 56?
Thanks for all your help guys!

So in case somebody else reads this, I finally got it figured out and done. GM makes a special tool to take out the axle stud, but it's 160 for the slide hammer and the special clip. You can do it on your own, but it's a little harder. Be sure to measure EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU START.Measure from the transmission to the outer seal (green seal), then from the green seal to tip of the second stud seal, and from the second stud seal to the CV axle tip. Once I took out the CV axle, I took my seal puller and got the outer seal out. Then I used a slide hammer and clamp tool that autozone rents to pull out the axle stud. It took a few tries because it's hard to grip, hence the GM tool, but it came out. Once the stud was out I measured again where the seal was, then I used a large socket (36mm or something, I cannot remember now) to gently hammer out the stud seal from the stud. It worked perfectly. Use a dead blow hammer. Then put the new stud seal on with transmission fluid for lube, in the exact same spot (measure it to be precise). Then put everything back in reverse order. To put the outer seal back in, I used the socket method to tap it in. Done.
