My God seeing that video makes me sick to my stoumach. I have this dull pain and this thought that says that could have been anyone of us at any time. I've toned it down a whole bunch as I have gotten older but 5 years ago my dumb ass was racing and not thinking twice about it.

My heart goes out to everyone involved but especially the ladies family. Just think, someone won't have their grandmother at christmas this year because of sheer stupidity.

My prayers go out to both families though.

Agreed, lock it, and let this be a lesson to any of us stupid enough to do something like that. Street racing is just not worth it, kids, no matter how pimpin your car maybe. You want real cred, take it to the tracks.

Whats the point of locking this? everything mentioned here is common knowledge and can all be found on www.delawareonline.com. Its a discussion of the consequences. My post says nothing of what he was doing or his thoughts, or anything incriminating. Its simply and update of the trials my brother is going through. He was a big part of this forum and Ive had many requests to update on the situation. that is exactly what this is, take it for what its worth.

Also there is NO proof he was street racing in the first place. I dont know the details as I wasnt there, but no one has said how fast he was going when the hit occurred, that will be the determining factor. He has NOT said he was street racing at the time. That information needs to be recovered from the the airbags/black box in his car.

What do you mean not to this extent? If you street raced you have done it to this extent. There are always these "how fast have you gone" threads around here. If you have street raced or pushed this car, you've done it to this extent I gaurantee it. This could have happened to any of us because there isn't a person here that hasn't done this or atleast driven fast on the streets.

This isn't the time to be high and mighty, it's the time to realize your mistakes and don't let them happen again.

This shouldn't be locked, this needs to be seen, aired out, and learned from.

what do you mean 'not to this extent'?? if you race, your just as guilty, it could have happened to anyone racing, he just got unlucky and has to pay the price for all of us.

If you street race, you're just as bad.

not to this extent??

anytime you push that gas peddle to the floor street racing you are making the same mistake he did, his will haunt him the rest of his life, yours lasts until the end of the race. most if not all of us have raced somebody on the street at least once, we are all just as guilty of racing as he is.

he made a mistake and ended up taking a life and now he ends up in jail
we make a mistake and post it up on here in war stories, no offense mods but dont you think that adds fuel to the fire?

All you people who are saying you're learning from venom's mistakes are full of ****. You didn't learn from the last guy who died while street racing, and you won't learn from the next.

Yeah i agree. wahts wrong with this post?? Really sad it happend though. That why you keep it at the track, or on a 4lane highway when there is no other car around. Then the only one that can be hurt are the ones stupid enough to be racing in the first place!1

I feel for you Chris, Jeremy, and your whole family. I also feel for the lady who died and her family.

I for the most part have been against street racing, even more so now. Take it to the track and be safe.

It is hard to believe Chris is being charged with second degree murder, mainly because Chris is one of the nicest people I know and I am sure he feels terrible about this. Let this seriously be an example that everyone can learn from, especially the people that know Chris.

my bad bro, the news article said suspected of drag racing...naturally i assumed. i do hope everything works out for the best but like i said, if he was racing then, to be brutally honest, this is what he deserves.

Wow , Im speechless . My prayers go out to you and Chris and your family . This hits incredibly close to home as I got my wake up call a few years ago crashing my Z28 @ 120 mph and nearly killing both myself and by best friend , thankfully in my situation the people that ran the stop sign broadsided me were not injured . Its horrible that someones life was taken in this situation , such a tradjedy .

There wasnt any intent , and Chris isnt a killer .....so man I wish ya all the strength in the world dealing with this incredibly overwhelming situation .
