You cannot get a silver 2.0L in Canada at this time, just the 2.4L is available in that colour...I would have chosen Silver if it was available but I'm just as happy with my very limited 2006 ArrivalBlue 2.0L...not too many of these on Canadian roads which is what I like!!!

Only way to tell them apart is the SS badging on the front door, 05 it's kinda in the middle and with the 06 it's closer to the ground.

The "SS Supercharged" badges on the door were placed halfway up on the 2005 models. For 2006, the badges are now along the bottom of the door. Obvioulsy, Laser Blue has replaced Arrival Blue too.

There's no difference in the PCMs- SAME service part number!
The only major improvement I am aware of in the 06 models is an upgrade to the Theft Detterant system from problematic GM Passlock (used in 05) to the more reliable and secure PassKey 3+ (adds a new module and puts a "transponder" in your key)

That's what it says...
Three suspension settings are available:

FE1 suspension – standard on LS, LT and LTZ models, it provides a smooth ride and includes a 19-mm front stabilizer bar and a 16-mm rear stabilizer bar
FE3 suspension – standard on SS models, it delivers a firmer, more direct ride and includes 22-mm front and rear stabilizer bars, four-wheel disc brakes, monotube shocks and 17-inch wheels and performance tires
FE5 suspension – standard on the SS Supercharged, it was developed on the racetrack to deliver sports car levels of handling and grip; 24-mm front stabilizer bar and 22-mm rear stabilizer bar, higher-rate springs and bushings, four-wheel disc brakes, monotube shocks and 18-inch forged aluminum wheels with complementing performance tires
You think it's smaller?? AFAIK there are only 2 sizes of rear bars 16mm and 22mm, visually it's pretty obvious but I'll admit I've never meassured them
I'll put a mic on them next week

Did they change the gearing? If you look at Chevy's website it shows the only difference between the standard 5 speed and the 5 speed in the SS/SC is first and fifth.
see here

According to that site you have the gearing is all different between the SS/SC and the standard trans.

The Chevrolet web-site has been noted as being INCORRECT since it's inception
The ratios used in the Getrag F23 used with the NA engines have ALWAYS been different from the FGP F35 used in the Superharged engines.

So where is the rear sway bar hiding then?

Inside the torsen beam?

In the first magazine road tests it is mentioned that GM stated the rear suspension didn't need a rear sway bar so one was not used.

Yup Yup
Look straight up inside your A-beam and you'll see the sway bar. It's welded to the rear trailing arms at each end.
Poo Poo to that mag

That was chevy high performance and they had a preproduction model. It had an armrest and a grille that was a snap in from the outside like the pursuit ours comes in from the back. If you look at the pics in the magazine you will see that the chasis they have has the stabilizer bar in the front bolted to the control arm ours has some sort of link that attaches it to the struts like the beretta gtz had.
