Question Digital Displays Fading in and out

I wasn't too sure where to post this at, but has anyone experienced the digital displays (the radio and mileage items) getting brighter and dimmer at random times?
When it's already normal, the knob adjustment works fine.
When the display dims, I turn the knob down and back up to bright, but it doesn't work.
It's extremely annoying having it flash while I'm driving.

Any thoughts/fixes?

All our cars do that. If you watch the map lights when you do anything that draws electrical power, they dim, too. Try it out by having your windows all the way up and pulling up both switches as if you were gonna close them. All the lights in the car dim out.

Its set up to adjust for lighting. SOmetimes it doesnt do a good job.
Therse a light sensor to turn your headlights on/off and dim the leds.

I had a truck that did that once right before the alternator died.

Hmmm....I really don't know. It doesn't happen at any particular time while I drive, it's just annoying now. Like this morning on the way to work, it happened twice; dim then bright about 5 mins later. Coming home from work, not once, all bright. All I'm doing is driving, I'm not messing with any switches. I guess we'll see what happens next...........
