Drivers side Door Handle
Drivers side Door Handle
Maybe it's just me but since I've purchased this car in april, the drivers side door handle sticks all the fricking time, I ask the dealership to lube it and they do but it continues to get stuck about a week later.
It's funny. The handle will come out all the way but not go back in with giving it some force. Shouldn't be necessary. Sometimes I will catch myself not looking to see if the handle goes in all the way, get in the car and close the door only to find out it won't close because the handle it still in the open postion.
Next oil change I am going to make them take the door handle assembly apart and lube that thing so good that it will be opening like butter when done.

God I hope not. GM has a history of bad door handle design, my cavi for instance, uses a rod connected to the handle to operate the latch by PUSHING rather than pulling. A couple weeks ago it got snagged on my doorframe and bent, I couldn't get into my car, who would make a 3/16" x 8" rod push rather than pull? sure it would take an extra linkage but come on.
the door handles on the cobalt are somewhat fragile you might have pulled it too hard once or twice this could be the reason why...this girl i know has the same handles on her door on her mazda6 and she almost ripped one off one time when she pulled on it...here is a trick if you do not already know, try putting your thumb over the key hole while pulling on the handle, it helps......
