What is the break in period for this car... my dad (Who sold me the car) said 500miles, and I hear rumor of 1000 miles of taking it easy. I've been trying to keep it under 4k rpm, but this is my first car with any sort of performance, so it's pretty hard to do. My car has about 400 miles on it (300 from me, About 30 miles hard drivin)
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance
Yeah right, do 6250 rpm drops, top the car out everywhere you go, slam on the brake and start drifitng around turns....you get the hint
lol JK!!!! DO NOT DO THAT. Pretty much do what everyone else is saying.

Take it easy until 500.. 750 or 1000 if you want to be safe, when you hit 500, 750, or 1000 whatever you feel comfortable with reward yourself with a nice smokey burnout!
Break it in as you would drive it after 5k. I broke this car in hard and it runs like a champ, 100 mph trap in the 1/4 stock
Roll the throttle on easy but don't be afraid to rev it out.

Still, i'd take it easy; maybe double-clutch for the first little bit and stay away from hard launches, but i wouldnt drive any different than i do every other day...spirited yet restrained
Had the LT from 6 miles in Nov.. she has 6,700 on her now and runs like a top from a similar break-in.
