Of all the things we hear to increase gas mileage...keep tires inflated, keep in tune, etc...the one that causes the best fuel economy is...

Cruise Control.

If you read your owners manual, there is a way to use the cruise control to increment/decrement speed by 1 mph while driving with a few clicks....good for adjusting to traffic...

Is that hand calculated or using the on-board MPG calculator. I have a 2.2l manual, and i want to improve my MPGs. I typically average 33.5 or so MPG in the summer 70hwy/30cty. Anyone heard anything about what air filters help. I want to keep it close to stock. Is your estimates with and INJEN SR cold air intake or what? Also anyone heard if K&N Filters help any?

26 in city been up to 35 in highway with no cruise control.
And I have a reasonably heavy lead foot. That's with a SS/SC G85.

Highway avg - 29 mpg (fairly spirited)
town avg - 20 mpg (again fairly spirited)
Highest avg (i'm proud of this) - 39 mpg (10 hour round trip doing 116 Kph)

Who can't drive spirited with a 07 Cobalt SS SuperCharged!? (I have an AEM cai, and Ingalls ETD. Thats all)
